“THANK YOU ALL

A BETTER PLACE
TO LIVE WORK AND PLAY.”
-6th Taxing District
COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY
The RCA was founded in 1911, even before the formation of the Sixth Taxing District. It has been instrumental in bringing about many community improvements, including the purchase of the beach property by the District in 1943. The RCA is a non-profit organization that furthers the common good and enhances the social welfare of the people of the community.
All residents and property owners of voting age in the District are automatically members of the Association. The annual meeting of members is held each January. The members of the Board are elected to four-year terms, meeting monthly to coordinate stewardship, outreach, and events.
The mission of the RCA is to enrich the lives of Rowayton residents and neighbors through providing cultural programs, educational events and supporting local community initiatives. The RCA invites all residents to become involved in the RCA through volunteerism and helping to identify the needs of our community.

Rowayton Community Center
Description
A Thanksgiving tradition featuring 5k and 1 mile courses running thru beautiful Rowayton, CT.
Race Day Instructions
Race Location/Start: The race starts at 9am in front of the Rowayton Community Center., 33 Highland Ave. With another record turnout this year we advise everyone to be there at least 15 minutes early.
Parking: Parking is at Graham Capital, across the street from the Community Center at 40 Highland Ave. Map Here
Start Procedure: Please do not crowd the start. Once again, we will have chip transponders at the start that should pick up your time when you cross the start, so you get an official start to finish ("chip") time. So no need to rush to the start once the horn is blown. Also, those in the 1-Mile should line up at the back of the pack to allow the 5K runners suficient room to begin their run.
Race Day Registration: All race day registration is being done electronically. Please register here on your computer or phone. There is no guarantee of same-day bib pickup (see below) but you can run without a bib if you are registered, however you will not receive a time.
Race Day Bib Pick Up: We do not guarantee race day packet pickup. The earlier you get there the more likely you are to get your bib. Bib pickup opens at 7:45am. If you have registered, you free to run without a bib, however you will not receive a time. 1 Miler runners do not need bibs, but there are vanity #1 bibs if wanted. We strongly suggest picking up your bib during one of our early check-in sessions. You can of course pick up bibs for friends and family as well.
